• We are staying in St Johns Hotel for a few days and visiting the NEC .. we popped in to The Assembly Rooms and felt the warm friendliness of the pub and enjoyed our evening there. Next morning we stopped here for breakfast and were greeted with the same pleasant attitude from the team in duty. on the way back to the hotel that night we stopped off at the wetherspoons in station road but the atmosphere is completely different.. bubbly young bar team but I was a bit shocked to see one throwing something at another behind the bar.. and then one of the girls started skipping around the pub waving her hands in the air.. were still sitting in the pub at the moment but we are about to finish our drinks and were heading back to the assembly rooms. I run a pub myself and the way the assembly is run far out ways this one in station street.. just found the name on a back bar mirror the white swan
