• I had an hour wait to change trains at burry port and was looking forward to grabbing a supper. There is quite a choice close to the station including the Cornish Arms with a nice line in fish dishes. But it was the traditional chippy on the opposite corner that caught my eye. It was busy early on this Saturday evening and they has a small eating area inside which they opened on my request even though the take away was very busy. Excellent quality. 10/10 for the chips - nice flavour and perfectly cooked. 9.5/10 for the batter - again light and Christ. 9/10 for the cod - it had good white flesh. These are very high marks for me. The staff were very friendly even though the local youths were causing them a little stress. thanks girls. Good value as well - only £6.30 for a large supper.

• Whaw this place is amazing best chippy ever,(we tried the others no comparison) Fish (whale) is cooked fresh as you wait They have home made pies and an all day breakfast (so reasonable) to die for in the cafe. The owners (young couple)were so friendly and we will call again! and again!.We stayed at pembrey caravan club which is really good sorry great location..
