• I bought a Kia Sorento with 41,000 miles on the clock and tow bar from Ken Brown Motors Stevenage in order to tow a pony from time to time. Two weeks later on its first towing trip out it exploded with black and white smoke gushing out of the engine and a high revving noise. i could not switch the engine off. i thought my daughter and I were dead! it resulted in several near fatal accidents on the A505 to luton duel carriageway. i noticed a whining noise emanating from the engine on the test drive but was informed by the salesman Roy it was only the turbo and it would have a full service before i purchased which would pick up anything. i have since found out the noise was the bearings in the turbo going. they appear to have sold me a defective car, knowing the use to which it would be put, which has potentially compromised the safety of us and others and a much loved old pony. Furthermore, Leon was most unhelpful when i called them, even refusing to provide me with a courtesy car leaving me, knowingly, marooned in rural Hertfordshire with public transport over 10 miles away resulting in me being unable to get to the office or collect my daughter from school. You might wonder how i got the pony back without a car and trailer?...we were over 25 miles from home when the car broke down! As a consequence of this and the after care experience I would most certainly not recommend you buy any car from this garage, Ken Brown Motors Stevenage.
