  • 1 star reviewThe entire place ought to be pulled down (if indeed it doesn't fall down of its own volition). It's the arm-pit of the neighbourhood and has a complete absence of any heart or elegance. Let's give the community and local traders something to be proud of.

  • 1 star reviewI agree with N Hewetts review of the post office. Similarly I went up to the counter and was not aknowledged. The person just carried on with what they were doing. Eventually they deigned to speak to speak to me and passed me the stickers through when usually post office staff put these on. She also appeared to 'tut' when I then asked for a signature on delivery! Seemed like I was putting her out somewhat! All this and the place was deserted so for once I didn't have to queue which was one good thing!

  • 3 star reviewSorry cannot agree with both of the above. The staff at Boots are always very courteous and the queues always busy on Market Days --- this Boots covers a very large area for prescriptions as there are quite a few elderly people in the area. As for the remark re buses--- it is a terminus for all buses and is very convenient if you don't have a car. Tuesdays and Saturdays will be busy re parking as those are market days apart from that parking isn't a problem. Some members of the public are extremely rude and seem to think that they are the only people to be served. I've shopped at Langney since the place opened and on the whole it is a very friendly place.

  • 2 star reviewParking is shocking, shops average. The bus stop causes chaos at times. No mother and baby spaces and people just seem to abandon cars anywhere they like which makes finding a decent space (with enough room to open the rear doors for children access) very hard.

  • 1 star reviewThe staff are not very curteous nor helpful. Everytime I have been there, I have been in a queue and never have I had to wait less than 20 minutes. The staff are either agonisingly slow or are talking to each other. Often, there is just one serving with as many as 8 people in the queue while another is wandering around behind with no desire to help to ease the people waiting. Many PO's have closed and some of those were very good like the one in Etchingham Road, they close so that this excuse of a 'service' counter remains open. Being disabled it makes this the only one within easy distance so I have no choice. My advice is simple, open more windows to ease the queues and quit just talking to each other when there are people waiting. This morning I went to a window and the woman behind started to count money, said nothing to me as though I was not there, so I went to the next window. There was no apology, nothing! It is a disgrace!
