• On visiting the award winning Metro Fish Bar in Bury I ordered two portions of their premium succulent chicken nuggets and chips. I was served a portion of chips and six pebble like overcooked cheap chicken nuggets covered in what appeared to be bread crumbs. I bit into one, the outer shell was hard and burnt. The filling was indescribable but appeared to be reconstructed chicken of some description. I returned the meals and advised the staff that they were inedible. The manager quickly arrived on the scene and apologetically explained that they had run out of their normal chicken nuggets and had purchased a replacement form the local Asda store. This explains their Asda Smart Price appearance. I was given an alternative meal. If a restaurant runs out of a food product then that meal should be taken off the menu. They should not substitute that meal or part of a meal with a cheap supermarket substitute. If I pay restaurant prices then I expect restaurant food not back street chippy food. I will no longer be visiting this establishment and I suggest you think twice before you do.
