• In reply to the first review perhaps if the gentleman in question had been around during the summer he would have found the midland offering breakfasts ! Omg ! Problem is some people are never happy

• we went to this pub at 6 in the evening and it was closed. the woman who opened the door was helpful in that she sent us to another pub in kirkoswald we wanted a drink and some food and she said quite happily "well we dont open till 7 on weekdays" omg! is this place a pub or private residence? i would not recommend this place to my granny or even my dog woof woof is the only comment i have

• The Midland is a proper village pub - Donna and Mark are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. They make sure everyone has a good time. Mark's pastry is awesome by the way!!

• The Midland has recently been taken over, and refurbed. It is a cosy country pub offering food that suits holiday makers and locals. The owners are welcoming and good company
