• Saturday evening went to NIcks for take out as had used before and recommended to my group. Fish fresh though smothered in a batter that looked like cooked in old oil and was double the size of the fish inside. Chips tasteless again the oily i suspect the problem. Very very disappointing, quality, looks like have let things slip a little. Staff friendly but under pressure waiting time 25 minutes. Shame used to be so good.

• very good quality service, staff very friendly and the food was excellent. best fish and chip shop I have been to and will continue to use this as my main chippy well done Nick :)
