"Winner of The Herald top voted country pub of the year 2013.Highly commended by The Eastbourne Business awards 2012 Cosy oak beamed pub and adjoining restaurant.Large car park, childrens play area and large beer gardens.Children and dog friendly.Lovely walks in the nearby Abbotts wood and the village of Arlington."

• The Old Oak Inn was purchased in April 2012 and over the last year major improvements have been made to the exterior and interior fabric of this 17th century Inn.Beautiful photograhic pictures by local photograher grace the walls of the cosy oaked beamed bar and adjoining restaurant retaining a true country feel.A new menu with daily seasonal specials board serving delicious locally sourced ingredients have really turned this lovely country pub around.Voted by the readership of The Eastbourne Herald as their top voted country pub of the year for 2013

• Poor - we ordered the first of three neighboring tables and were served last - even though we had two young children and order very easy quick dishes. My ham egg n chips was just that - no garnish and the ham was revolting - all fat and gristle not edible - especially for £9 odd - although I was offered a refund, and the staff appologised, it should never have been served. New owners, new paint - still lacks the quality of food thats plagued this lovely pub for the last few years.
