• DREADFUL! What a disappointment! This cafe claims to be child friendly but clearly is NOT. The cafe itself is very cramped and the staff were particularly unhelpful when it came to watching me manage my pushchair, baby and shopping on my own with absolutley no offer of assistance. When I asked for a highchair the one I was given was filthy and I had to clean it myself before I could put my baby in it. The owner herself was extremely rude when I asked a particular query. As for the food, I was so upset by the behaviour and attitude of the owner and staff that we decided to leave before ordering. A real let down. Definitely one to avoid!

• i attended the pear tree today and was disappointed The staff were stand offish as though they were better than you.I had a beef roll (bagette) beef was pink but im still here.NO smiles just functional No indication on the slip what the cost was..The sweet a so called bakewell tart was poor thick icing and hardly any taste of almond I was staggered when I got the bill £21 was for two they even charged us for a glass of tap water.NO the atmosphere is unfriendly .They think theyre something special but although it is a nice place inside no atmosphere.wont be going there gain

• Upon eating here, I can comment that I have been very disappointed. I ordered a cheeseburger and chips and when it arrived it was still very raw and to me uncooked, I asked for it to be cooked some more, but when it finally arrived it looked very much in a similar state and they had not even re-heated the accompanying chips, which were cold. The staff did not even ask if I was now satisfied and they seemed very unfriendly and unaccommodating - not in the least welcoming. No apologies were made for my disappointing meal. I did eat this, but have since felt unwell. The cheese in the burger had not even melted and the burger bun was extremely hard, not at all like a traditional burger. I shall not be eating at this cafe again, and would not recommend it to anyone.
