• We are very sorry to hear of your dissapointment and if you feel miss lead,this is definitely not in our interest to do so. We would allways ask our customers to contact us directly if they had any issues so we could resolve any issues. We would never describe or sell anything intentionally as being solid oak if it was not. Some of our ranges do come from some very good manufacturers who do use a certain type of veneer in certain places which is normally 5mm of solid oak on top of particle board, this is done for two reasons 1.For stability, 2.To keep the cost down. But there are many ranges to in solid oak which are not descibed as being solid oak as we never put a description on our products only a price. We are also more than happy to make furniture in solid oak to, if this is requested.

• Very disappointed, we bought two 'solid oak' chest of drawers here two years ago and have since moved to Canada. Yesterday I damaged the wood top only to discover that it is just a very very thin veneer covering particle board. Be very careful if buying to make sure you're getting what you think you are, even the rear edges of the particle board are veneered so it looks good at first glance. Very disappointed, we would have been better off spending money at Ikea.
