• Went for Sunday lunch 26th August, the food was very good and reasonably priced. The beer was also of a good standard with lots of choice for real ale and cider. The landlord Chris is very friendly and very knowledgable about the local area. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely be regulars there.

• I had dinner here on bank holiday monday 27th August 2012. We were a group of 7 including a 3 year old and a 5 month old. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful and genuinely smiley. 3 of us (including me) ordered the chicken and gammon pie which they had unfortunately run out of, but there was enough of a selection of other meals on the menu, that it didn't matter. I had sausages, mash and peas in the end and it was delicious. There were 3 fat tasty sausages (which I requested to be well cooked and almost burnt on the outside which was exactly how they came), plenty of proper mash, a good portion of peas and gravy with onions. All food was reasonably priced for the size of portions and we all agreed the food we chose was tasty and hot.
