• The best fish and chips we have had for along time. The fish was delicious and fresh tasting and cooked as we waited and the chips were chunky and crisp. A generous portion too. A very welcome and fortifying lunch on a cold October day. We would highly recommend the fish and chips to anyone.

• This Fish and Chip Shop serves decent food but the service is terrible. I visited this shop on 29/8/13 and was met by a hard faced female behind the counter. There was no welcome smile etc I asked if we got served at the Table? No she said we take your order at the counter. I ordered for 4 people and was surprised that I had to pay up front. I went to pay with my Debit Card and she said it was cash only. In this day and age, it is old fashioned to still have to pay by cash in a restaurant. In any European Restaurant a customer is served at the Table and only pays after their satisfaction of their food. I asked for a soft drink and I was pointed towards their Fridge in the corner, to retrieve my own drink. When the food arrived at the Table it was hot and tasty but we had to ask for our curry sauce which we had paid for but hadn't arrived. So in all they need to provide service with a smile and train their staff better.

• Two of us had lunch at the Quayside cafe today, Sept 27, 2011. Cod & chips and haddock & chips with mushy peas. Superb!! Fish - fresh and pure white, cooked to perfection. Batter - crispy, as it should be. Chips - delicious. The cafe and facilities were spotlessly clean.
