• The Ritz this is not. This is a farmers' pub offering wonderful no-nonsense food in huge quantities (but don't bother asking for a sweet menu!) Local guest beers are perfectly kept. The carpark is full of muddy tractors, Land Rovers & quad bikes. Inside the woodblock floors are well-worn by muddy boots & the odd wet dog. The welcome is warm,(like the log fire) the conversation lively & everyone is included. This is what pubs used to be. Keep it up Rod, we need more like you.
