• Called here for lunch on a whim. Glad we did , upon arriving the pub was quiet and the barman greeted us with a smile. I had the steak and ale pie and my wife had the fish and chips. Well the steak pie was truly spectacular I've never had a steak and ale pie with so much meat in it was fairly packed and the gravy was delicious. My wifes fish was huge and you could tell it was freshly battered and she declared the home made chips and the real mushy peas a real winner.
