• Very slow service for restaurant diners with the take away counter taking priority. Uncaring and inefficient waitresses eventually serve mediocre food.

• My partner and i went here on 05/10/2013?The service was horrendous!waited for nearly an hour for food which never came before walking out.They seem to prioritize their takeaways and leave diners waiting.Lots of complaints when I was there and quite a few walked out including myself.Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone

• Very very poor service,sat at the table for nearly an hour waiting for food which never came! I ended up paying £15 for the wine I ordered but only drank half a glass as I was soo annoyed.I payed for this reluctantly and walked out,I would never go here again.They seem to prioritize take away and leave the diners till last.Apalling service.Avoid!

• The worst service that I have ever had, anywhere. Came in with my son for lunch. Nobody there except a very gloomy employee behind bar, who didn't even look up. I asked if they were open. She said yes. "Great. Could we have a table for two". She pointed towards the only un-made-up table in the room. Anyway, my son ordered his starter, and I started ordering mine -- to be interrupted and told that he needs to order his entire meal before I order. So that's what we did. Then wrong food arrived. Prawn toast is not satay chicken. I tried to protest, but it was dumped on the table so quickly, then the grumpy employee dived straight back into the kitchen. She came out a few minutes later, but by then there was no point complaining. Overpriced, comically bad service and attitude, and food very mediocre. Huge disppointment.

• We had excellent food and service on 15 March 2013, and have always had good food and service at Sampan over the past six years.
