• I have lived in Colchester since 2007 and wanted to find a nice Indian take away as this is my favourite food. I came across Shemul after trying a few others I tried and have never used anyone else! I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal there since using them from 2008. I have been ordering at least 3 times a month and the dishes are PERFECT. The farther and son that work there are very friendly and make the dishes as requested and also will recommend another dishes to my taste. The Garlic Methi Chicken Tikka is out of this world! The chicken is very tender and melt in you mouth. Trust me on this and order your meal from them and your mind will be made forever.

• I've lived in Colchester for over 20 years and am a fussy curry eater, well that's because I like a GOOD fresh curry, I stopped using Indian restaurants in town since discovering the Shemul in 2005 because Shemul is better than all of them. He cooks all of his dishes fresh and will happily make your dishes exactly as you want them. His chicken is so good I thought he roasted it first but it's not it all part of his expertise. I highly recommend this place, good decent and kind family business. All of my friends that have had his food with me have been instantly converted saying this is the best curry I've had in Colchester. No hard square lumps of chicken on a curry gravy here!! I recommend all of his food especially his veg pakoras, chicken tikka, all chicken curries and dishes especially my fave chicken Balti (with chopped chilli, at my request). I promise you will not be disappointed with your order. Free delivery for orders over £15 or 10% off if you collect. Forget the restaurants if you want the best curry in Colchester town
