• In my opinion this is now the best chip shop in Newport since Vacara's became more grease than chips. I have not had a bad meal from here and we often use it for a cheeky chiipy lunch in work as they take phone orders and can cater for bigger groups without the food going cold.

• Just been served the most disgusting chips ever. I did query if the chips were OK & I was told, yes they look this colour because they are new potatoes.......generally chips that don't colour are being cooked in oil that is not hot enough. Threw mine in the bin

• Best piece of fried fish in Newport, however, the chips vary quite a bit. You only get small portions,and very exspensive. There are 3 other chip shops in Ebbw Bridge,but Sheppards have been there the longest.
