• Please note, this review is from 6 years ago and is only relevant if the same person still owns and runs it. The hotel part of the Steamboat was terrible, the room was not cleaned during the 5 days we stayed. Breakfast plates and cutlery was not cleared away. The electric plugs for TV, kettle, etc were placed a few inches from the shower cubicle. Admittedly we should have complained there and then, but we were desperate for somewhere to stay and we had paid in advance. We planned to complain when we booked out, but oddly, there was no one to be found. The downstairs bar and restaurant we had no complaints about. It put us off Blyth and we have never been back.
