• Booking appointments: Unreliable. I'm currently on the phone trying to find out why they haven't contacted me about my blood test results as planned. It's been two weeks since the results came back. I have also been on 'hold' for forty minutes, waiting on their query line. Reception: I have often found reception staff to be unfriendly and rude. I have experienced this problem with phone appointments before. I was due to start work at 11, so I asked for my doctor to call BEFORE 11am. I received four calls after 11am, times including: 1125, 1240, 1250 and 1pm. I then rang up to express that I needed to be called before 11am. The receptionist told me that wasn't possible despite us having booked the appointment before. I then requested another appointment about my results and asked to be called before 12. I wasn't at work on this day so wasn't exactly bothered what time they called. To my surprise, I didn't receive a call at all. I rang to ask why and the receptionist told me I hadn't booked an appointment. I asked why the previous receptionist hadn't booked my appointment into the system and the woman who I was speaking to told me 'it wasn't their fault, I need to come in and book the appointment in person as they will not rebook appointments over the phone.' This, of course, is a lie. Doctors: I have recently been told a high number of the doctors do not work five days a week. My family doctor is also a man I haven't had an appointment with since I was four, that was sixteen years ago. It seems they overbook staff members. I have however had many delightful experiences with the doctoral staff, including one doctor who went through my condition in greater detail than any other doctor, including going over non prescribed techniques I could use to reduce the symptoms. Overall opinion: Severely understaffed. No concept of time management. Often rude. However, reliable at in frequent times
