• we eat here regularly and have found the menu brilliant, bar staff friendly and have always enjoyed the evening, garden in the summer will be a great place to sit and enjoy a drink and food

• What a find! Having moved to Stansted a while ago, we had no idea that such a great pub was within such easy reach. The setting is lovely, the ambience quiet and pleasant (no children allowed inside, the way pubs used to be!) and the fish menu is to die for. I had the smoked fish crumble and will be going back for more asap. Dessert menu fabulous too. Fair prices and a perfect place for lunch or evening meal. Can't recommend this place enough.

• After recommending this pub to my friends we were very disapponted with the meal, as sautee potatoes were served up burnt,waiting staff offered to change them, but second portions were burnt too, The waitress told us it was because of the starch in the potatoes! Upon receiving bill we found no money deducted for burnt potatoes but infact we had been charged twice for coffee's. Not happy
