• Had a great,meal tonight, 5 different home cooked meals which were lovely. The staff are very friendly and attentive, the owner and chef came out and chatted to us before our meal. Would definitely recommend but book first as it is very popular.

• Our friends took us to the the Three Horseshoes, Althorne today 8/3/12. We were worried as we have had so many awful meals in british pubs. However, today we received a warm welcome, excellent food in a clean, well kept establishment. We highly recommend the Three Horseshoes.

• I travel to this pub weekly from Heybridge as it is the best pub near to us.We have eaten here many times never had a bad meal.The owners Dave and Liz are friendly,as are the staff Nick,Sophie and Amy.

• In reply to review already left my self and my wife own the three horse shoes . And the reason you dont see much of us is my wife is bringing up our young family,and i am the chef so are constantly kept busy in the kitchen but would only be to happy to introduce my self on request .Food orders stop at 2.00 not 1.15

• I have been here numerous times and must say the food is excellent. It tastes homemade. As the food orders finish at 1.15pm would recommend you get there before. We were there on a Tuesday at 12.30pm and was told that there was no more tables left for us. The staff are very friendly. I would like to know who owns this pub because you never see the manager all it is the same two people serving. With pubs closing to a record amount it would be nice to be introduced to the owners. I know numerous people that have been there but have never seen the owners.
