• I have just completed a flat purchase with Walter Saunders as a conveyancer, and would not recommend them to anyone. Communication: I have had to 'chase' / follow up on literally every email, phone call and letter I made to the conveyancer I was assigned. Nothing was done without repeated prompting from me. Errors with work: After over a week "reviewing the draft contract", I was sent a contract to sign with an extra '1' in the purchase price (i.e. the price became '1,160,000' instead of '160,000') Walter Saunders didn't apologise or even acknowledge this disastrous error - on page 1 of the document - and I ended up spending hours researching how to correct this. Client care: my requests for updates were futile. I resorted to getting information from the seller's estate agent, who at least answered my calls and could explain where we were in the sale. Conveyancer went on vacation between exchange and completion, and did not inform me of who, if anyone, I could contact about my transaction. Most frustrating to work with, particularly since their initial phone call to secure my custom was prompt and friendly - went swiftly downhill from there. Would not use again.
