  • 5 star reviewWe love coming to this pub. Lovely food, friendly village atmosphere, happy helpful staff. Great menu choice, family friendly food, nothing too much trouble, not found anything we dont enjoy. We enjoy a glass of wine by the fire in winter and a nice cold pint by the riverside in summer. Would recommend

  • 5 star reviewI started coming here once a month or more in 2010. The curry night was a always a highlight, good portions with lots of meat. When I moved away with work 4 yrs ago my Parents kept up the tradition and take their friends every month (a 20 mile round trip). Never had a bad meal in all that time. Its not posh, but the food is good (value and quality), the beer is well maintained, the locals are friendly and the bar staff are really helpful. Its a good village pub. Long may it continue.

  • 1 star reviewArrived here for a family meal waited over an hour and half for the main course. Dishes came out one by one! When asked how long it would be for the remaining meals (an hour and 30mins later) I was told it was not mcDonalds!! I had no intention of complaining however due to having our son who is 8 months old and was ready for bed after the long wait with no notification there was a delay on food, no apologgy or thank you for waiting and no attempt at service recovery! The staff were the rudest I have ever come across, no sense of professionalism in the slightest a complete and utter shambles! Food was lovely but no chance in hell would I return to this disaster- such a shame it was all because of the poor staff!
