• Very disappointing. After booking a table for four at the White lion restaurant for my mums birthday, we were all left very disappointed. The service was poor and disorganised, the waiting staff new very little about the menu when asked, very off putting. We waited nearly 40 minutes for our main course to arrive, which was served by a rather lethargic teenager! We spent a lot of money for the value of food and service, on leaving we were not asked if we had enjoyed our evening, only to be greeted with 'you've not paid for the last port you had' needless to say this £3 had been placed in the wallet. Despite this we still did not receive a 'goodnight' or 'hope you enjoyed!' The White lion has a lot to get right, needless to say we will not be returning In a great hurry
