• Went here for Sunday lunch with family and extended family. A very tasty meal and nice experience for all age groups ( 80+ to 4years!) thanks to the lovely park area! Staff very friendly and helpful

• I don't understand the negative comment on here, this pub and its staffs was nothing if not delightful, as was the food! There were no horse riders there when I went but could understand the staff wanted the horses on the gravel and not the pub garden, which is beautifully maintained and had children on the play equipment.

• What a lovely pub the selection of food was great and not expensive neither. Can't understand what the review before was saying about the landlord and landlady they both went out of their way to do as much as possible to make our visit enjoyable we will be returning on a regular bases.

• Visited today with some friends. Made to feel most unwelcome. Service unfriendly and surly. The man who took my plate away, jerked his head upright to my husband, ignored me and said "right mate?". We expected at least a "did you enjoy your meal,?" The landlady was rude to some delightful people who had visited on horseback, telling them to "get on the gravel" and they too were made to feel unwelcome. New management? They won't last long. What a shame,such potential in what could be a lovely country pub.

• Went to this lovely pub for Sunday lunch and most say it was really good. The pub has just become a freehouse and is starting to sell all different real ales from round the country. The landlord and landlady are really welcoming and what a great atmosphere.
