"Lively Village pub serving homecooked food with an american twist, prepared by experienced and innovative chefs. Offers regular special evenings such as Around the world Steak Nights and shrimp and seafood. There are three ales available and a range of lagers including Sagres. • New landlord and landlady Austen and Anna since March 2014. great couple, very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. My partner and I have been there three times since they took over and enjoyed a quiz night, a table top sale and good food. So with a bit of luck their efforts will pay off and put the barge back on the map. They deserve success and we wish them well. Ivor and Ronnie, oh and Pepe our dog who was also made to feel very welcomed!

• No atmosphere. Miserable Landlord. Shut when they feel like it and you dont no if its open or no. Foods OK though. Glad I dont live in Halberton.
