• Avoid: stupidly ignored the reviews & bought a very smart-looking BMW 3 series. Big mistake. It has cost me thousands to fix, and I am still stuck with it because I can't honestly sell it knowing it still has problems that no mechanic can find. These guys are sharks - you've been warned.

• Appalling. Very expensive mistake on bmw 325i. They cleverly concealed the csr's service history. New gearbox, clutch, air mass meter, several brake problems, hidden rust. These guys are, hat le to say it, scum. I don't know how they sleep at night. AVOID

• Can't believe this garage is still going ripped off by them in 2011 engine management light come on with in 24hrs of leaving the garage took it back 2times every time they said they had fixed it they had just turnt the light off then to find out it's a ringer vin plates removed welded out then changed names with in 2weeks

• Absolutely awful garage, had endless problems which they said they would fix when it has it's mot on the day I bought it. They patched up every job, turning the engine warning light off instead of fixing it etc. The noises got louder so I took it to my mechanic who found lots of very expensive problems which should have never passed the MOT. I am now left without a car as it's too bad to drive away. Car kings were not interested. They are scammers and will rip you off.

• I agreed to buy a Corsa from them, waited over a week for them to put an MOT on it then the car made the worst clunking noise ever and I decided not to buy. They are now refusing to return my deposit: first they had no card, then they had no cheque book today the cheque book is "out of the garage" so I've got to wait for tomorrow. Don't touch these guys with a barge pole!

• Bought a car from these guys, broke down within 24 hours. Head gasket gone, ECU fault avoid them like the plague.....

• Sold me a car which has a massive leak in the sunroof and has a bad oil leak. Spoke to trader who doesn't give a cack about it and expects us to get on with it due to the age of the car. Trader Richard Hamilton seems to think if the car is 10 years old it is ok to have s sunroof leak... SHOCKING TRADER, OFT to be contacted. Avoid at all costs... These guys will be on Watchdog.

• unfortunately I have to give this 1 star as it doesnt let you proceed!! I really dont know how this garage is still in business! i bought a car from here for £1000, it came with a 1 month warranty and then 5 days after the warranty expired the engine blew up! garage didnt want to know......what an absolute nightmare, it feels like the car was just patched up and sold on and i was the mug that bought it. THINK AGAIN IF YOUR THINKING OF BUYING FROM CAR KINGS!

• i purchaced a car from these guys, everything on it seemed fine. due to me being in the forces i could only get it to an inderpendant garage 6 weeks later. the guy found that the head gasget had gone, he said it has been gone for some time. so i called carkings, who stated they would not do anything. realy poor service. never buy a car from these, i would never recomend.
