• Viewed a vehicle and placed a "holding deposit" to allow my other half to view the vehicle without it being sold. Upon return we didn't opt for the vehicle, and Simon (one of the "sales" team) became extremely hostile. The vehicle was slightly overpriced and overdue some maintenance work and he refused to budge on the price whilst completing the necessary work. I was sold a sob story about "placing a deposit means you intend to buy the car" when it was actually a holding fee and we hadn't agreed on an actual sale price. Absolutely shocking attitude, and I've been asked to contact the manager "Manny" in a few days time to return my "holding fee" which was described as fully returnable under any circumstances. Will be taking this to court and lodging a case with the office of fair trading if my well-earned pennies are not returned, and the complaint will be filed regardless if I don't receive an apology from the manager either.

• I called this morning to test drive a ford fiesta they had advertised on auto trader, the gentleman said I could come later to test drive it. After a 30 minute drive we reached car country sales only for the gentleman I had talked to earlier to say that the car was 10 cars deep and that it was not possible to take for a test drive. He went on to talk about people not being willing to buy cars after they take it for a test drive and that it would take a lot of time to get the car out. I appreciate that it would take a while to take the car out but then why did he tell me I could take it for a test drive in the morning of the same day? In defence of the company, it looks very professional and the car I was looking for looked in good shape (even though I could not take it for a drive), but I would not want to do business with someone so unprofessional as so waste so much of my time.
