• Two of us went to the Durham Ox for a meal early evening mid week about 19.00. It was like something out of Faulty Towers, it was laughable! Waited 1 hours for an average meal that eventually turned up but a family of three generations waited longer and gave up in disgust. Limited draught beers, limited staff, they didnt seem to care and all too much effort; in fact the barman thought that our poor customer experience was amusing. Will not be going back and suggest if you read this you dont either.

• Excellent menu, good fixed price menu before 7p.m. Shame we waited for an hour and a quarter before the starters arrived.
