• Bought a car from here, what a big mistake. I had left a deposit initially but when I went back to pay I had a more through look at the details the spec on the advertisemenmt such as fog lights/climate control. Afterwards I was told I could have got my deposit back as the description was misleading. The owner steve changed his tune became rude and was more interested in me settling the bill. He refused to let me test drive it saying only they can drive them, when we took the car out it only had minimal fuel and he would not take it at speed. I decided to buy the car, after washing it I noticed a lot of fine scrathes which they had polished out and worst still at the mot after 6months and outside of the so called warranty I was told the shock absorbers were cracked amongst other hidden faults. If you go there you will notice a lot of there cars are budget rubbish often supposedly serviced by themselves. They make a good job of cleaning the cars to make them look good. But when you look at the details such as service history you will come to know a lot is missing.Beware

• I bought a vauxhall astra estate from these guys which then had subsequent problems with the alternator. The work was honnered by the company under the warranty with no problem. I would use them again although I'm not planning on buying another car for a while. Many thanks.

• I had the misfortune of visiting this garage yesterday to view a car and not only were two of the key details in the Autotrader advert untrue, but the service was atrocious. I phoned beforehand to check it was possible to view the car I was interested in buying and asked if it would potentially be possible to drive the car (as obviously I'm not going to buy it without driving it) and was promptly told that the garage was not a test drive centre as if the salesman just automatically assumed I was wasting his time. When looking around the car the mileage was different to what was advertised both on Autotrader and the company website and the the car did not have a full service history as advertised. When I asked the salesman why the mileage was different he said they had guessed it! Considering the car displays its mileage on the dials this seemed very negligent, but because the car looked very well cared for in the flesh I was interested in driving it and making a decision based on how the car drove. However the salesman decided that he wasn't going to let me drive the car at which stage I walked out. I understand that the salesman doesn't want his time wasted by joyriders but how does he expect anyone to buy a car from him without even knowing if it even runs or not?! Thanks to the awful service and the blatant and deceptive false advertising in their adverts I will never go back to Fairway Motor Company and would recommend that others stay away if they expect to be treated with any level of respect.
