• Visited last night for a birthday meal and we were very well catered for. Had a starter and a main course from an excellent selection and wasn't disappointed. Both of us were impressed by the tenderness of the meat and the standard of the vegetables. Good selection of drinks on offer too. Would definitely recommend.

• Fabulous food , well selected menu ! Wine list however is very poor and the lighting too bright . Food surpasses expectation and is great value with some interesting choices , x chef from cram and lobster so give it a visit

• Visited the Vane Arms last night for a Xmas family meal. The service and surroundings were great.The food was fantastic and good value! The 2 vegetarians in the party were well catered for and the meat eaters enjoyed turkey and duck.The puddings and cheese board were exceptional! The pub has a young and charasmatic chef, Ben Icke. His food is well presented, contemporary and extremely tasty! Will definately return! Anita and Pal Grainge

• Lovely meal , wasn't expecting the standard of food at all from a country pub ! The menu was exceptional with duck , lamb Wellington and steaks to name a few . The presentation was terrific a must go for anyone who hasn't been before , I had the duck which had spinach fresh chicory fondent potato mangetout and a rich gravy as well as lovely garlicy king prawns toStart . Will eagerly look forward to returning another great meal with the family!
